CASS 2002 Derborence

2002, after 11 September 2001, once again through the Centre d’Art Contemporain of Geneva and its Director, Daniela Gruninger, and through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a journey through Central Asia was organised to understand how 11 September 2001 was perceived by local artists.

We quickly understood that we had to work quickly – we visited 4 countries five times larger than France.

Daniela brought back 22 artists for her exhibition in Geneva, while I had the idea to bring the shaman musicians to Derborence for a meeting with the noise improvisers of Switzerland.
